I've agonised over this del. If we were staying here I would relocate it to the outside in it's own box. But on the basis that we are going to be simply renovating and moving on, it's an unnecessary cost, so we will just house a wardrobe ( a shelved one) around it. |

| Well, not much progress at the moment, as I've had 'proper' work to do Suppose I better keep the Shekels coming in We managed to get the front fence up And you might have spotted that a fourth heap of roots and dirt is now ready for the grab truck to return I cut the rotted shed... into several smaller, more manageable pieces... which didn't take Jan long to load into the van for taking to the tip In the afternoon we managed to load the van up again, this time with all the scrap iron that we found in the garden, buried amongst the back bushes. Jan's first trip to the scrapyard... I suppose she'll be getting some tattoos with her share of the scrap money (£47.60 lol ) With stuff cleared, the rear garden is now taking shape. The plan is to now start chopping chases into the walls for the wiring to the extra sockets that'll be required in the first bedroom to be done. The wardrobes are demolished and the room is now empty. More soon. . |

| Well, with regular work still taking precedence, progress hasn't been in leaps and bounds. However, it's coming along. The windows and new front door have been fitted. The focus has been on completing bedroom 2, so chases were chopped into the walls for the wiring of extra sockets and TV points. And the room was then plastered. An extra socket was also chased into the hallway, so some recovery plaster work was also made here. New radiators were fitted, initial painting done, wardrobes made and fitted, and a new door hung, so the bedroom that initially looked like this: Now looks like this: View from the other end by the window: So, final painting and touching up to do, new light to fit... carpet is being fitted on Thursday. . |

No particular reason. I ordered it as a like for like replacement for the old door. In the 'old days' it was best practice to hang a door hinge side on the adjacent brick wall, for extra strength, but these days, with reinforced steel framing inside the frame, there's no need, so it could have gone the reverse way round had I desired it. |
