this hotel is situated right in the middle of the resorts of play de las americas and costa adeje on a beachfront location, it has recently undergone a refubishment with good results. the rooms are spacious and boast 32in lcd tv.s with all the main english channels, the main problem i found was that half the rooms have a seaview which would be great to sit on the balcony with a drink and watch the fantastic sunsets, guess where my room was ? yes at the front of the hotel overlooking the carpark and taxi-rank, i was not a happy bunny, i did get a move to a part pool view & car park but was unable to upgrade to a privilage room or junior suite as they said the hotel was full.
anyway back to the hotel, it boast several bars including a stunning sunset chillout bar, a couple of poolbars and a cabaret bar, even though the hotel was full the bars where mostly empty, maybe it was because the entertainment was a bit dated or the prices was a bit expensive, we did sample the entertainment a few nights but felt a bit intimidated by the waiters who where i thought overstaffed (1 waiter for 2 couples)they seem to be waiting for you to empty your glass and place another order. i dont want to be seen to be having a go at the staff who i found to be very polite and a great asset to this hotel (except for the reception manager who would not let me upgrade)
the hotel boast 4 stars but you still have to hire fridges, safes and tea and coffee making facilities,
beach towel hire was a 15e deposit for a towel and no daily charge for changing towels.
no reserving of sunbeds before 10am a great idea and worked very well
i booked on a thompsons premier couples package and wasnt impressed at all, 3 reps are based at a desk at the hotel for 6hrs a day just to sell excursions and provide wellcome meetings, if you have a problem with your room you have to deal with the hotel itself

all in all its a nice hotel but i wouldnt waste your hard earned pennies if you cant secure a sea view room

Nice one Tjay, a very honest review of your stay. It comes across from both the waiting staff & the holiday reps, that they have been taught to sell sell sell, whether it be drinks or excursions. As Delboy says if you have some photo's to accompany it, that would be great mate.
