| i also have mixed feelings re egypt, not so much the deli-belly aspect as i'm used to jan's cooking, but i like to be abe to hit the town at night and feel safe to wander the streets late at night.
a mate who went to sharm said never again, apparently the shop keepers are very rude and persistent,he ended up nearly strangling one of them.
shame as i love taking photo's and i think egypt would offer some great subjects.
maybe,one day
still looking for a winter sun destination for dec/jan.good deals about too |

| This is great Debs, love the fact that your room was right next to the pool edge a rep from me too. Im right into history and would love to visti the place but thats the only reason for it. It would not be a holiday to save up for and as others it might be something Im missing out on, but when I win the lotto it would defo be a history lesson for me. _________________ |

| I have to be honest here, we only went here as our son won a £1000 holiday voucher & gave it to us to use towards a holiday. He made a point of saying 'please use for for somewhere other than Majorca, go further afield' because as you all know we have been going here for years. So, we decided to try Egypt & make it special, we upgraded the flight with extra legroom seats, paid lots more for the swim up room & to keep the room on the last day. Again, we would never of done this without the voucher from our son. He actually said he wanted us to have it as a Thank you for everything we have done for him - he can be so thoughtful. But as I said, the only real thing we liked was the climate, we went in late april into may & it was red hot during the day & warm in the evenings. We didn't have any tummy upsets but we were very sensible & used the hand gel ALL the time. Would we go again - I don't think so, happier with 2 & a bit flight to Majorca thank you |

| Oh yes Bella it was a lovely room & hotel, yes definately an experience to be remembered - especially the reason we went. Our son was training for the Police at the time, he also was single so thought he would never use the voucher. We could have had it made out to any company we wanted so chose Thomson/|First Choice as they are the only ones that go to the Holiday Village & we said if we went we'd have to have a swim up room Our 1st & probably last bit of pure indulgence & luxury haha. Bles him since then he has a steady girlfriend & they went to Maurutious together so he could have used it himself. As soon as he got off the phone from being told he'd won it his first words were ' You & Dad can have that ' It was pure luck, he worked in security in Tesco at the time & it was one of those you fill in your name, phone no & put it in the box - didn't cost a penny to enter. Lucky boy eh. |

That was his only stipulation Daryn, but it suited us as we only ever do cheapies in Majorca anyway, it would have been a waste of the voucher. |

| Well I certainly deniled myself of it - we bought 2 litres of decent stuff at Gatwick each oh yes, we got through 2 litres of Bacardi & 2 of Smirnoff blue in 2 weeks OMG. I used to take some out in the evening & just get a coke from the bar, what a waste of all inclusive eh |
