Just been thinking about the meet up, & it seems to be split between 2 Bars, Canto's & Orion. Why don't we go to both on the same night, ie say start off at Canto's between 7.30ish until 10ish, then move on to the Orion Bar from 10ish onwards? Thoughts please people?

Yes Mick I would like that, thats a brilliant idea, Ive only been in Orion bar once for a drink so would like to go back, but looking at Cantos bar I would really love to go in there as it looks the dogs bolxxxxs. I think thats the way we should do it, its gonna gave us a chance of them both it will be brilliant and there not far from each other. There is no food layed on for this years meet up as we are meeting later after tea so there for no need to stay in the one bar. Im defo up for that, guys and gals please let us know as soon as you can ,I really want to get this rapped up and put on the main site. Well done Mick

very close to each other ws,canto's bar is by the mecca(you know the steak house opposite the son matias) and the orion bar is opposite the santa lucia hotel,all very close to the sol mirlos.

good question re the seating but imo in oct we should not have a problem getting seats together,in either of the bars

To be honest I would prefer to stick to the one place, also if you want them to reserve tables and provide food it really would need to be just the one bar.

we are comprimising here H and trying to gave everyone what they want and its so hard I think a little walk around the corner aint bad and as said October we shouldnt have a problem at all.

One of my main concernsas well WS, at least if we stick to Cantos we should be able to book tables for the entire evening.

If I owned a bar I wouldnt keep seats back for someone I didnt know or they hadnt paid for as if you dont turn up and you turn other customers away from them seats then you have lost out big time. It wouldnt be me.

I don't see there being that much custom in October, I would grab the chance of 20+ people for the whole evening with both hands if I were a PN bar owner.

I don't really have a problem changing bars, BUT as Don has just mentioned, Orion bar is virtually opposite Santa Lucia hotel & maybe that will get busy from their clients after their own entertainment has finished for the evening - a bit like Son Matias clients all pouring into the Mecca bar at 11pm.

Just our opinion.

Hayzer I don't see there being that much custom in October This is what we have been saying all along, so there should be plenty places to sit.

But you guys I have now been to 3 meets in early October (2 TA,1 MF).I know you say it will be quiet in Oct.MG suggested Piano Bar for the 1st TA meet.It started at 4pm.The place was heaving.Every time I have been there it has been heaving including a post-meet late afternoon sojourn with Daryn and Debs and Mick and San last year.(Video on the MF website of WS at the bar-it does happen!).

Not much comfort in Piano Bar and the bogs are poor (send Mick in for a recce) but the atmosphere and friendly service are a draw for a non 'luf regular like me.And the people in there are so matey-no aggression despite the crush.Must be an age thing.

I still think that we would be better off going to the Canto's Bar. As Debs has pointed out, both the Orion & Mecca Bars are regular haunts of guests from the 2 hotels opposite them, & not so much at Canto's. What about another compromise then, all people, (that want to of course), that are already in Magalluf/Palma Nova/Mallorca, meet up at the Orion Bar on the Saturday night, as a pre meet up do? That way we reach a compromise & don't have to change Bars on the Sunday. We need to get things sorted, so we all know where we are heading to for the Sunday meet up, when we are all on the Island.
