The small town of Binnisalem lies in the central part of the Island, and is in the wine growing region of the Island. There are monuments around town that reflect this part of the town’s heritage.
The town is easily reachable by road as the motorway from Palma - Alcudia goes right past it. It is not so much of a tourist resort, more a town where Mallorcan’s live. There isn’t a beach as it’s inland.
The town is dominated by a central town square, with pavement café’s all around, and the rather imposing church with huge spire.
There are typical small narrow streets which give a quaint feeling to the place.
The backroads out of the town have Orange and Lemon trees seemingly in every garden.
A nice town to stroll around for an hour to see a part of the Island that doesn’t have all the tourist trappings.
