| we went out for a sunday morning stroll with the grand daughter to get some fresh air and took the trusty camera with us. alas we did not venture to the summit as it was to far for little legs (the grand daughters, not mine hehe) and bitterly cold |

| Thats spectacular scenery Yosef and that low shot near the ground comes out really well. The wide angle lens I assume gets that, what time of the morning was the the shots taken ? |

| jus t got lucky del,i rested the the camera on there, tbh my hands were freezing hehe.with luck we are out for a hike on wed, maybe the pen yfan and the other two peaks,i've been aching to get up there with the new camera as the landscape is beautiful.it was weird weather up the sugar loaf today with the sun and snow making everything look pink, hope it's like that on wed though they are forecasing rain, that said it has it's own weather up there, that's why we always check out the mountain forecast before we go as a few have lost there lifes up there.we have been up there in a white out and it can be very scary |

| cheers guys. hayzer, yes i did hold the camera close to the ground and i also notice that the wide angle lens adds to the effect even more. rain and low cloud here today so just mooching about today (no pun intended neil),hoping to get up the beacons soon. |

| I need to buy a new camera as I managed to loose my one while out on a days walking with a few mates . I bought a Panasonic Lumix as it had a good quality 25mm wide angle lens which was fantastic. I noticed that some Samsung also have quite wide angles for a compact. What is the lens on your Sony Yosef it looks quite wide angle? _________________ |

| the same,25mm. with 14.1 mp's and 10 x optical zoom. i love the panoramic sweep mode, when you see the shots on here they are not done the justice they deserve,on the 3inch lcd,the tv and the pc you can play it back exactly as you shot it,it's amazing to see the "sweep" again,it's just like being there again.
sony cyber-shot dsc-h55
got a great deal on ebay,saved £70 |

| I had the Lumix TZ-6 which was the outgoin model and it was a factory refurbished unit I bought from ebay. Cost me £120 including postage and came with a proper Lumix case and 4GB memory card. Unfortunately it is discontinued now and the new version is a bit more expensive. _________________ |

| I have a few cameras and the one that i'm playing around with at the mo is a Kodak M575. 14 Megapixel, 5 x optical 10 x digital, plenty of features like face recognition... but i only found out last night that it also has a panoramic 'sweep' mode, you can set it L- R or reverse it R - L, so i'll be looking to have a go with that over the next few days. Most of the snow has gone here now so nothing too interesting for a 'Pano' Jan's Honey Glazed Ham joint went down well with everyone last night |
