i much as i love the new camera,i liked a lot of thing about my old olympus 790 sw.
shock proof and water proof upto 3m,7mp small and light,fits in your shirt pocket.

i will still take it on holidays/walks as a back up :rendeer:

Sadly I have a Nikon F70 which I bought just when digital cameras were first coming in. It takes 35mm and photos have to be developed. Obviously no viewer to see whether you have a good shot or not.

It was a lose, lose situation as if I had gone for the digital it would have been expensive for
a spec that one would have been thrown away 3 years later.

What I have is a very good SLR in mint condition that I will probably never use again but would never get the money for a worth while sale.

A few years back I was looking for a digital camera and managed to sell my Olympus SLR equipment which I hadn't used for a while. At that time I got a fair price for it and I purchased my first digital compact digital camera
a 3MP Pentax Optio S I still have it and use it as my work camera. The picture quality is very good but the LCD screen is the size of a postage stamp and the battery tends to go flat (even the replacement I bought) very quickly.
