Booked up for 4 nights in Rome in October - my missus has a special birthday that is not to be mentioned but I'll be nearly 49 when we go & I'm her toyboy
Possibly not the best forum to ask on but any advice on hidden gems or pitfalls would be appreciated. Can obviously research (& I will) but if anyone's got some personal recommendations or things to avoid that would be great.

Asked my lass where she wanted to go, her choice & she picked Rome. Wasn't particularly on my to-do list but hey it's where she wants to go for her 'special' birthday.

No you will enjoy it, we've been to Venice but can't help on Rome

I suppose on a re-think I'd go to the Coliseum for a look round.
