| hi john. the wife and i are going to ca'n picafort on the 10th of sept, though we stay at the far end of the resort in the lovey son baulo area. it is a 20-25 minute walk along the wide, well lit prom from son baulo to ca'n picafort with lots of bars and restos to stop at for refreshments along the way, think it was e5 in a cab or you can travel on the ca'n picafort express,tractor/train thingy with coaches. we love the beach and small friendly area of son baulo but wander up the prom at night and have a few beers in cp at night, our fave is a couple of german bars we have found and i have got a taste for that bittburhger lager, mmmnn. imo cp can be as quite or loud as you want,we find it a nice friendly place,i think it's about a 50/50 place of english germans. we nearly went a/i this year, daft as it seems it was £75 cheaper to stay at the club tonga in cp,we will check it out for future reference when we are there, but we love the hotel we use in son baulo=the son baulo hotel, which is smack bang on the lovely wide sandy beach. son baulo is a small resort,a few bars and restos, with a great beach, very popolar with families and grand parents taking the gand kids on holidays,as the wide, safe prom is pedestrianied,in fact we can't wait to take our little gand daughter there. another hotel in cp that seems a big fave with families is the hotel hiatti, which is a/i,if you want i will poke my nose in there when we visit in sept, think this is our 3rd visit in 3 years now. i will try to find the link now to some photo's i have taken in the past. if there is anything else i can help with john just give me a shout ok. yozef https://majorcaforum.forumotion.com/t3122-ca-n-picafort-son-baulo-area-walk-to-son-serra-de-marinahttps://majorcaforum.forumotion.com/f246-ca-n-picafort-resortps,meant to say john if there is any hotels you may have short listed i will pop in and give them the once over if you want. |

| hi jono. had a quick look around the two most popular a/i hotels mate and though 1st impressions are not much to go by this is what i thought. 1st the club tonga=cheap and cheerfull, got the feeling it was a party place, not sure it would suit families/kids 2nd the haiti=100% british hotel, looked liked there was loads on for familiy/kids,seemed a nicer place imo. the hotel we stayed in the son baulo was at the very far end of the resort which is very peaceful and full of families, with a lovely 25 min stroll along the wide, well lit prom into the main town centre,or e3 each on the little resort train or e5 for a taxi. there are a couple of a/i hotels in the son baulo area but they are mostly occupied by germans so entertainment would be in several languages and maybe a bit limited. bear in mind also there is a 2hour transfer time which went to p.pollenca 1st,then alcudia, then can picafort,we thought it would be ok on the return as we would be last pick up,not so,another 2 hours alas. the cost of a private transfer is approx e140,not to bad if you are sharing the costs, especially if you have little ones to consider. sorry i don't have much info but maybe this little bit will be useful yozef https://majorcaforum.forumotion.com/t8566-some-holiday-randomsbear with it,it will play......eventually
