Well I had heard a lot about the Strip from my mate Phil, who went on a Stag Do in August of last year. I would say that it is slightly longer than the one in Magaluf, but IMHO probably not have quite a concentration of Bars, Clubs, Shops & Restaurants as Magaluf, as it is more spread out, but still with neon lights, & PR's etc. In the day time it is like any other ordinary street TBH.
At the top of the strip, as you head down towards the beach to the left, & Montechoro to the right.
On this day we stopped halfway down for a bite to eat & a drink opposite the Water Tower Apartments.
We even found a street named after, we all thought an American Soul Singer, but apparently he was a Portuguese Poet.
We also had a coffee at a bar called Lick it, a strange name to say the least.

We also saw a lot of these trees in & around Albufeira & across the Algarve, this one was on the way to the Strip.

Well at night The Strip was a totally different proposition. With the neon light's & the PR's in full "Come in here guys for free shots."
Also a Red Indian Chief, who wasn't an Apache on anything else that we saw.
No wonder they call it The Strip.

We had a couple of meals round by the Strip, Donaldo's, at the bottom towards the beach. Their Maitre d', was a taller version of Louis Spence without the lisp, he was a larger than life character to say the least. But we went there for a couple of meals, as it was one of the best that we had. Between 80 to 90 euro both nights including nice wine & lager for the 2 meals there. we thought that 20 euro each wasn't too bad a price TBH.

On the Saturday night, we went looking for a bar or Restaurant to watch the Champion's League Final, between Bayern Munich & Borussia Dortmund. We saw the first half in a bar.
We ended up at Fredi's for a meal, & the second half of the match, which was a lovely, & I would recommend here as well.
After the meal, we went to a music bar called Wild & Co at the bottom of the strip, where we saw a live band & a few drunken Munich fans celebrating.
I would recommend going to the Strip, either day or night, but TBH we preferred the Old Town for it's night life & ambience better. We never saw any trouble at all, & never felt that there would be.
