Oooh, 120 channels with upper and lower sidebands! Nice piece of kit. I take it it's an AM one and not FM? Lovely little blog / review mate (repped) looks a nice town for a walk round, - not a flat cap or whippet in sight!

AM, FM USB, LSB, CW modes hehehe I got 3 off them now, 2 of them fully refurbished as new now. They are all expanded as well, so have 6 banks of 40 channels so 240 channels Nice that someone knows the crack though I bought one a few years back, refurbished and had it tuned up, showed it on cb forums with a youtube videos, stuck it on ebay and got over £240 I couldn't believe it, not bad for a 70s cb radio, but they are just history to me now, I love the fact that they had been used many years ago and someone saved a small fortune for them and spoke all over the world on them, they were the best cb radio you could buy at the time and many say they are still better than the new stuff coming out now. Love it but shame its not got the popularity it once had _________________

The Gov't ruined it by making it legal and using the FM frequency, which no-one wanted. AM was the king. Not much point in having all them channels though mate, very few others will have them so they won't get used. In fact I doubt that many would have over and above the standard 40 these days. Go on, spoil me .... what was your handle?

You are so wrong Mark, many of the new type radios now have these channels plus alot more. The legal bands are dead for local contacts but when the skip is flowing all the channels are full of operators making contact all over the world. Its massive when it flows Ill have to video it for you. _________________

Oh, ok, - you mean people still have them as mobile units? You don't see many round here, one in a thousand, maybe more than that.

yeah I have to admit not many mobile operators now, not even much activity until the skip is flowing, operators just want long distance contacts now and not bothered about local chitchat _________________
