We ate in Brother Bear’s rib shack restaurant, on the border of Cala Millor & Cala Bona. There was 4 of us.
The view here is over the wide promenade out towards the sea, very good for people watching.
The restaurant is fitted out like a teddy bears playground, which was different.
The attraction for eating here was that there was an offer of ‘unlimited’ ribs, for €12 per person.
So the first orders of ribs came out, some had to be cut in half to fit on the plate.
There was an assortment of side orders ordered as well.
True as the offer said, the waitress offered more ribs for anyone, about half way through the meal, which we said yes to.
Now, with a large sign like this;
…on the back wall, the third time the waitress asked, we ordered honey ribs, which were moist and juicy, with a side dish of ‘runny hunny’ to pour over them.
“Any more ribs” asked the waitress, with a look of disbelief in her eye. I think we’ll share one more said Don and I. The girls just burped
So the end result was a little messy:
We had also been given a flyer during the day for the first drink free, so the total bill came to €64 for 4 people, which included extra side dishes and dips. No desserts.
I found the ribs to be a bit hit and miss. Some racks were perfect, others were a bit dry and seemed as if they had been sitting there for a while and were re heated, so a bit dried out.
The overall experience was good though, we were absolutely stuffed after 3 and a half racks of ribs each, so I have to recommend the restaurant.
There was obviouusly a menu that offered many other dishes, prices appeared competitive with other restaurants.
