| We stayed at Cocoa Island from 22 November to 06 December and the weather was mainly fine. There are around 32 water villas and we were in 809 which is a Loft Villa. It was perfect for location as it was a slightly shorter walk to the bar/restaurant than some, very private and oposite a nice 'fishy' part of the reef. We saw numerous types of marine life including lobsters, lion fish, turtles, rays and all within 30 metres of our deckThe room was large and comfortable with great amenities from a kettle for tea drinkers to a great TV, DVD and Ipod deck.. Judith particularly appreciated the cool air conditioned bathroom for hair drying etc. The sea and reef is great here with lots of interesting places to snorkel including shallow reefs and deep drop-offs. It has this great spit of sand where at low tide you can walk about a quarter of a mile out and look back on the resort. This place is so laid back you hardly seem to see anybody when walking around. Maybe they were hiding but I think more likely flopped on their super double sunbed on their decks. They are really into the Robinson Crusoe effect here as there are few formal paths and signposts but you soon learn the way around this perfect island. The bar and restaurant were very nice although we found constant 'fine dining' quite a strain over 14 days. i would have killed for beans and toast by day 7! Seriously though the standard of food is very high although not the cheapest I have eaten by a long way. You also need to like chilli and spices although they will calm it down if you specially ask them. In fact they will go to very great lengths to make you happy and content. The beach is great. Lots of thatched rondavels and very comfy loungers. Free water is a bonus as a cold glass on a reguilar basis normally adds up on holidays in the Maldives. The infinity pools is great although little used. Our journey to and from the island was painless and fun. They have their own fleet of power launches that race you there in around 35/45 minutes. Judith normally gets seasick but these things are so comfortable and fast it did not trouble her. It was a memorable holiday for us and I strongly recommend it to any readers.

| Your reps are mounting Mike . . . here comes another one!
That beach . . . with the white, white sand, is just where I want to be right now! FAB! What jabs are needed for there, Mike? |

| In my mind no real need for jabs. I have been blessed to go to these places...but at a price in money and well being (according to Judith). I worked myself to the point of mental exhaustion but was determined to grab something from it otherwise what's the point. That and it helped being one of the 'top dogs' in the travel agency industry. Glad I did it but it did cost! |
