Well our choice for the MF meet up this year was the Hotel Samos as it was half the price of another hotel we use.
On entering the hotel we were really surprised at how modern it looked after seeing out of date photos on other website's.
The public areas were well maintained and clean.
So up in the lift we went to the ninth floor and again was well surprised, the corridors looked brand new with new doors and frames, notice the CCTV in the top right hand corner these were also along the corridor which I thought was a great deterrent.
We entered the room and found the walls looked like they had been skimmed with plaster and freshly painted and clean good start.
To the right was the bathroom with a walk in shower again this looked brand new and clean I was now feeling happy with my choice.
The wardrobes were done in that dark old fashioned wood as was the bed and drawers what a shame they hadn't updated them as well ,maybe in the same colour as the doors and frames outside it would have finished off the room but they were all in good order.
The beds were rock hard as was the pillows.
The flat screen TV on the wall had UK channels, BBC1 ITV1 ITV2 and a few others. You can also see the aircon vent which worked a treat.
The views some where good and some where bad, we were looking over the roof top of BCM's and the BCM square, well see for yourself.
The view to the right was great over looking Magaluf bay.
BCM square was still busy in October and when we opened the patio door we could here it from the ninth floor but it wasn't to bad when the door was shut, well it didn't stop me from sleeping lets put it that way.
From leaving the hotel grounds this was the view to the left
And this was the view to the right
There was plenty bars across the road and a great restaurant called lady tavern which our great friends Mick and Sandra told us about, the breakfasts were fantastic.
The pool area was nice and clean.nothing special but well maintained.
There was an outside bar area, we never tried any of the drinks in the hotel over the 3 days we were there so cant comment on them.
The blue sunbeds were great to lie on but the white ones were dreadful
SUMMARYWould I go to this hotel again, yes I would for my 3 night break in October but don't think I would like to be there in peak season, it was clean and well maintained and pretty much modern.
One thing I would say is I wouldn't pay for any more than B&B and if there was a choice I would pay for room only, the breakfast was rubbish.
The bacon was burnt and crispy, the sausages were white don't know if that's the way the Spanish have them but I didn't want to try them, the eggs were fried and put under a heat lamp and were dry, Ive been to other 3 star hotels that cook these fresh to order, the coffee was horrible and I had to put sugar in it to make it better, the jam was not like jam it looked more like a syrup.
We went to the Lady Tavern bar/restaurant across the road, the breakfast was first class in there.
BOOKING UPWe used Travel Republic as they were the cheapest at the time, I did email the hotel to see if they would beat the price direct and they did by about €4 but wanted me to send my credit card details by email so they could take the money straight out of my account upfront, as you can imagine I wasnt happy to do that and thought it was poor on there behalve to ask this.
The cost by Travel Republic came to £104 for three nights B&B for 2 adults which wasnt bad at all, even though we only had one breakfast out of the three.

I will be sending this review to the hotel as I did with the Tenerife one I went to this year.
