IT Helpdesk Job
We are a UK based company producing specialist software for the chemical industry. We require a helpdesk person, based in Mallorca, who will work from home on a part-time or full-time basis.
We are looking for an individual who is highly intelligent with the motivation and ability to learn a large amount of background information to the software in a short space of time. It will be expected that a candidate should acquire a certain amount of this information before starting the job and failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of the offer of employment.
An all round understanding of IT is essential although no particular specialisation is required. We will need someone who is familiar with most aspects of the Windows operating system, including some understanding at least of networking and servers.
The ability to organise oneself and cope with multiple queries on the helpdesk is of paramount importance. Likewise we are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, both verbally and in written English.
We are offering between £20,000 and £24,000 per annum for a working week of between 25 and 35 hours. All training will be carried out in Mallorca. Appropriate handset, etc will be provided for calls to the UK where the majority of our customers are based.
