Is this the museum at St Fagans? I have umpired cricket matches at St Fagans CC many years ago in the Western League.Going back 25 years.Lovely ground.

indeed it is wirral,my apologies for not doing a full review to go with the photo's but we only had a flying visit and i was a bit under the weather. we only spent about 2 hours there,as you know it's a big place and you need a full day to take it all in. when we get chance and warmer weather we are going to visit again for a picnic and spend a full day there. it's a lovely day out and free admission(you pay £3.50 per car to park) and i noticed that food/drink where very reasonable in the cafe. it was also pushchair/wheel chair friendly, and the staff are bi lingual for welsh visitors,i was amazed at the amount of foreign visitors for the time of year

Every season I umpired in Wales at St Fagans,Cardiff (Sofia Gardens) and Newport. All 3 clubs were usually in the top half of the league table.Cardiff were always strong as effectively they were the nursery club for Glamorgan CC.The league then covered SE Wales,Gloucestershire,Bristol,Bath,Somerset and Wiltshire. One of the Bristol clubs Downend has a permanent place in cricket history as it was W G Grace's home club for some time.Since i moved North to Cheshire the quality of the Premier League cricket is about the same but the setting of the best grounds does not compare with the scenic beauty of the grounds of St Fagans,Bath,Lansdown,Cheltenham.
