| Beware if you have a booking with easyjet, they have been double booking flouting European rules by breaking up family groups and telling some holidaymakers who bought tickets months ahead they must travel by circuitous routes to reach their destination.

| I can't see that the problem would be that widespread, yes it makes the headlines when one or two get bumped off but how daft is it that you can do on line check in, and that if you haven't got cases, you walk straight through to the departure gate? Can't see how you can bump people at that stage. I would be in my element as I know the compensation rules back to front so I would be claiming the maximum right from the word go lol
I suppose it's an added bonus of booking speedy boarding, unlikely to get bumped if you're already at the front of the queue. |

| Little lamb on TA hints that a similar problem has happened to her travelling group:

| Might be of interest to someone, a few rules and regulations although we have our expert for that, Mark http://www.msn.com/en-gb/travel/news/making-millions-selling-seats-that-dont-exist-what-happens-when-everyone-turns-up/ar-AAdqH1R?ocid=mailsignoutmd _________________ |

| If you're not in a rush to get somewhere, getting a request to vacate can be quite lucrative, probably not with easyjet going shorthaul, but say British Airways asking you in New York, you could have an extra night in a hotel all paid for, plus €600 compo each, - sometimes as well a free seat upgrade on the next flight! |
