| Not sure if this is addition to the waterpark resort.
Its all well and good, but if Im heading out with the family would I go there? No. If I was heading over with my pals, would I go there? No.
Ten million euro investment planned for Magalluf for 2016
The new-look entertainment complex.A brand new Day and Nightlife experience will be launched at the Fergus Magalluf Resort as part of a full reform of the two hotels (Pax and Barracuda) further developing the resort of Magalluf for summer 2016, as a result of an agreement reached between Fergus Hotels and the newly formed Intriga Entertainment Group. This new project will create 3,500 square metres of entertainment space within the hotels including a Day Club in one of the three pools and a multi-floor Night Club, with performance elements, visuals and special effects. Both venues will have the latest in sound and lighting technology with an overall investment of three million euros Pep Cañellas, Co Founder of Fergus Hotels, said: “We are very pleased with the partnership we have formed with Intriga and extremely excited about the plans to launch the two new venues as part of our huge renovation, which together with the upgrade of the hotels and category increase will surpass 10 million euros of investment in the Fergus Magalluf Resort”. Martyn Smith, Co Founder of Intriga Entertainment Group, said: “Due to the size of the development, we have to wait until 2016 for the launch but it gives us more time to get it right and more time to give the island something truly unique. |

| Well it certainly sounds as though plans are coming together for Magaluf but I wouldnt want to be on holiday there whilst all this is going on but its got to be done I suppose BUT what Im envisioning is just more of a concrete jungle TBH.
I would love to see the resort have lovely streets and surroundings not just the hotel being nice inside. You just have to look at the area that was a little shaded tree area at one time which now is just a mass of concrete that has totally spoilt the area. Im talking about the area next to the Pirates Beach Bar & Grill they have ruined that, what a waste on such a prime spot.
I really hope thought is put into all of this and its all planned out well but I cant see it myself I know the place is just going to be horrible.
Either way Magaluf is never going to be the same for me anymore. I would have liked to see hotels pulled down and all buildings having a height restriction in place. Make the resort pretty again , back the way it was maybe in the early 70's before I even went there..
October just made me so sad looking around. I know we had the same hotels back in the 80s when it was a great friendly place but its never coming back, the resort is finished as far as Im concerned, the damage has already been done, the seedy prostitute robbers, the drugs on the streets its ruined and spoiled it all.
Only time will tell now, lets hope these companies have hired great designers. _________________ |

| Good points mate.
And I remember the shaded bit, on our first day there in 88, we spent the afternoon there getting drunk!
It can still be a lively town, just clean up the streets and bars so it gives a better impression.

| We will wait & see what happens. We were both shocked how quiet the resort was, especially the Piano Bar & Plaza Cafe, it was the quietest I have known it to be in early October TBH. We all know that the main problem is "The Strip" & the "ladies of the night", _________________ Mick
