Couldnt wait for our trip to Loro Parque, it was about 1.5 hours from Playa De Las Americas on a coach.

The first thing we saw was an amazing pond ful of Koi



The Park has been well planned out and the grounds are amazing



They have tried to replicate the wild as best as they can and I can say they have done a really good job.



The penguin enclosure is like nothing I have seen before, its an amazing thing to see.



Its all built inside and temperature controlled, you have to see it to believe it.



No its not a dodgy camera shot, in this section they replicate the temperature and the light as it would be in the wild, they dont get any sun light for months on end and this zoo try to give that natural feel to the animals.



You can even see snow dropping its fantastic









The Orcas this is why most people visit this amazing zoo.



I loved seeing these beasts in real life but also felt a little sad, its not natural and when you think these beasts swim thousands of miles around the oceans its hard to see how they manage to live life in a pool. Its one of them things you just have to go and see them but I would rather see them in the wild.















This tiger never moved all day, I was wondering if it was real lol. I thought this enclose was far too small for this magnificent beast.



Now this is what I was looking forward too, giant tortoises they were awesome, would be amazing to see what they have seen throughout their long lives.

Notice how lovely and well kept the enclosures are.









Again a beautiful dolphin pool, everyon was wondering where they came from, they seemed to appear from underneath the pool so must have a separate pool



















I absolutely loved this, it was a huge bird enclosure with a tree top walk. It give you an idea of how it would be in a tropical rain forest.

































Now this is a chimp enclosure to be proud of.

Brilliant Daryn, a rep from me as well mate.

Great pics, Daryn  -  they reminded me of a lovely holiday I had in Puerto de la Cruz with my son & his family a few years back.  We had a day out in Loro Park &, much to the delight of my granddaughter, she was picked to ride in the boat that was pulled along by the dolphins in the show!  Happy memories.
