Probably not the Palma ones so much Dermo, hopefully the rest of the Island's Hotels might see how it goes. But Airlines need to sort out flights for the winter months, if it is going to happen on a larger scale.

Cant blame them though, its an expensive airport to fly too and if you only have a handful of people on a flight then its not worth it. PMI are crippling their own economy basically, they have made the no frills flight companies too expensive.

I remember when they first started up, Easyjet etc, we used to have 4 holidays a year, 1 main and 3 mini breaks, infact nearly every year we used to fly with BMI baby for free from Teeside just paying our airport tax.

I'm not convinced the landing charges at PMI are the problem, - flights home are often cheaper than the leg out there.

The UK departure tax probably has a bearing on things though.

I must admit this was the first year, that we had to get a bus from the plane to the Arrivals Terminal at Luton. That tells me that the Luton taxes have gone up, as we have always parked close to the Lounge.

yes they started at Luton with a £1, then after cocking up the drop off point by putting a figure of eight with traffic lights which caused serious jams into the airport. Then reduced the time of the stop and doubled the price. Soon they'll be wanting a £5

I don't know what would happen if people just stopped at that mini roundabout in Luton at the terminal and just dropped off. Can't give someone a ticket in a car that still has the engine running, and moves again after 20 seconds, surely?

They have put a CCTV camera next to the roundabout mate, so they would probably send you a ticket. smilie evil

If a ticket is not from the council or police then ignore it, they cant or wont push it, plenty on forums about this
