We decided to walk again down to the Old Town. Here we all are on the roadside of the Apartments, just about to set off.

The sun was setting over the Old Town, as we got to the escalator.

As I said in my day time review, there is an escalator to get you down. Here are me & Brian, on the way down of the 1st section.

Well as we were in Portugal, we decided to have a local dish. Eat

Thanks to Yozef's recommendation, we tried the Taj Indian Restaurant, just off of the Square as they had a deal on. wink

2 courses a starter & a main including a wine or beer, for 9.95 euro each. Not a bad deal TBH, but the girls were not that impressed with the wine, pale

but hey ho the food was good. Thumsup

So we were fed & not quite watered, so we decided to have a few drinks in streets off of the Square. The atmosphere around the street was brilliant, with a singer playing outside in the bar opposite us, so we all got the benefit of the songs. boy guitar

As we were sitting outside, the bar had overhead heaters on, which was lovely, as the pesky wind had got up again. roll eyes

But for some reason, one of the guys turned a couple of heaters off, & the temperature soon dropped down. cold

So they gave Brian a blanket, to wrap round him, but the childish side of him "came out." nono

We drank up, then got a taxi back to the Apartment, from the rank close to all the bars, which was only 4.40 euro, very good VFM.

really enjoying this mick,the photo's are bringing back good memories for jan and me,though we have only been twice both short,out of season breaks we really like the old town,will defo do a week when we can in the future.

all booked for this year so maybe next year,fingers crossed

I would definitely go for at least another week, if not 10 days next time.
