Viva Palma Nova one of my favourite places to stay, amazing surroundings great for kids, you feel really safe there. Fantastic Pools and an over 18's section with double beds to chillax on. Downside the price very expensive to book but drinks around the pool are reasonable. We use this place for 3 nighter holidays off season ,normally in October.

ooo I gathered this was your fav hotel on TA. I am off there on Monday and although it was more expensive than a lot of other hotels if it lives up to its reviews then it will be worth every penny spent. Just saying a few prayers to disperse that damn ash cloud but if I make it will report back. x

you will love it nice and clean lovely surroundings and bang in the centre between Magaluf and Palma Nova so either way is very cheap in a taxi ,or a nice stroll in to work of that food and drink hehehe, dont forget when you come out the apartments turn right and follow the road to the bottom of the street. At the bottom turn left for Palma Nova beach or right for Magaluf its that easy ENJOY

Well is doesn't look like I will be getting to sample the delights of Viva Liverpool airport in no fly zone. Am so upset but hey ho nobody to blame just one of those annoying things that happen in life but why me why why why ha ha

awwww i feel for you DW..... said it should clear by wednesday ...so they say ....could you not see if they will change your dates ???

i'm off to mallorca in june, trouble is this damn cloud could come back at any time, i thought we had seen the end of it ...

My flight is still actually scheduled to leave at 7am tomorrow so will need to keep checking. I know I will get a refund for the flights but don't think for hotel. Not sure if they will let me change the dates but no harm in asking the tour company I suppose. fingers xxxx

awww dotty I know how you feel, my flight was cancelled in April and I missed my holiday. Luckily I didn't lose out money wise as the hotel wasn't paid for (I pay when I get there) and the flight and car parking was refunded. Even a show I had booked agreed to change my booking til september, but it's still heartbreaking when you have been looking forward to it

Just an update on my flight plight! As you can see I didn't make it today as although Liverpool Airport was open and flights were leaving my carrier cancelled all their flights

But after much stress (not eaten for 2 days - but think that is a good thing LOL) I am finally flying out early in the morning from Newcastle. The hotel have even been kind enough to change our booking slightly so we don't lose a day so coming home Friday instread of Thursday. Fingers x I will sample the delights of Viva. I love them already and I haven't even been yet!

Keep everything x for me and I hope I can report back YEEEHAAA

Am back safe and sound from Palma Nova and after what was a nightmare start things could not have been better in the end. Drove (or rather hubby did)to Newcastle airport checked in and within 15mins of arriving had secured best seat in the bar downing a (very large) wine. No delays, smooth flight (yes more wine but i did need it honestly he he).

We arrived at the Viva Palma Nova and I have to say what a hotel. Initial view was immaculate modern hotel and from the first contact with the reception staff who had us checked in no time at all to the friendly bar staff and even the cleaners nothing was too much trouble. I initially went on TA as I had heard about the AI not being much (time restrictions etc) how wrong. This must be the best AI hotel I have stayed in or heard of. Drinks - every type of drink cocktail liqure coffee shorts you could think of. Jack Daniels smirnoff becks all included in the all inclusive. Food wow. Breakfast - we set alarm to make sure we made it to breakfast each morning but I think the best meal of all was the lunch which was served off a menu at the pool side bar. Starters soups tex mex kebabs burgers you name it all cooked fresh to order. If you asked for a wine with your meal the lot came ice bucket and whole bottle, obviously it would have been rude not to drink it all. We tipped the pool bar waiters just because they were so nice and friendly and as a result they regularly came round the pool asking if we wanted more drinks -again it would have been rude to say no. The AI did finish at 11pm but that was fine as we then went bar hopping.

The hotel was quite busy but so relaxing and we described it as a busy hotel with the volume turned down. We went for a relaxing chilled out holiday with no children in tow and that is what we got. I can understand why this hotel gets fab reviews and it is well worth the extra you pay. Both Palma Nova and Magaluff were quiet but suspect that had something to do with flight cancellations that weekend.

If you can afford to pay a bit extra then this hotel is a fab place to stay and we are already planning to go back as a family next May oohhhh don't think I can wait that long. x

Thats brilliant Im well pleased you enjoyed it, I knew you would its a brilliant place ,one of the best as far as Im concerned, but you have tought me something as we have never ate there ,just drinks around the pool and stayed in the lovely surroundings. Did you go to the over 18's section with the double beds ohhhhhh thats brill hehehe.

ohhh yes the adult pool is fab. We spent most days there and it was so peaceful. The jacuzzis were an added bonus and how comfy are those beds. Next time you go you should try the food the waiter gave us some menus to take with us to show people as I don't think anyone would believe us if we told them the range of food and drink on the AI deffo not your average AI.
