Stayed here in June 2008. Its probably been my favourate holiday in Majorca todate. We stayed in The Don Miguel Apartments which were a 2 minute walk to the large beach but a good 15 minutes walk up into town. Quaint apartments with 3 pools and a decent bar and outside terrace.
The beach is lovely white sand and id guess is close to a mile long. Loads of space. The walk along the "promanade" is spectacular as the back drop of mountains is stunning. As yopu hit the edge of the centre there is a large marina with the usual array of Millionaires boats, great place to stop and feed the mass shoals of fish in the calm waters. As you get upto the centre the promenade becomes an area refered to as the pine walk. Again really picturesque, lots of pine trees and a millpond like sea. This area,s seafront is where many of the restaurants are, some are pretty up market and prices are at the top end for spain.
A street back form the pine walk is a large square, probably 100 yards across, 3 sides are lined by bars and eateries and the top side is a large imposing church.
The resort has a reputaion of relative peace and tranquility, its not for party animals with few if any music bars. It was a bit quiet at times nightlife wise for us but we ceratinly enjoyed the meals out and people watching type bars on the seafront.
