| I use Sol a lot but this was my first time here. I was impressed with the size of the apartment and balcony. It looked quite clean but behind the radiator was full of fluff as I found when I dropped something down there. I got up one day to find ants in the bathroom, and just before I left, thank dog, I saw a cockroach in there when I was checking round. It's all studios at the Lunamar and I must admit I prefer a proper bed to a converted settee. I heard a very disappointed young couple complaining about the lack of a double bed but it was their own fault really. The website is quite clear and so are the photos. The cooker was just two rings, and there was a toaster and kettle - adequate but a microwave would have been handy. Telly had SkyNews, BBC1, BBC2 and BBC Three. There was air conditioning. There seemed to be no nutters and no noise late on, which was good. I don't think I'll go back but I wouldn't necessarily want to put others off. |

| Hubby and I stayed at Sol Lunamar for a week at the end of September/beginning of October last year. We were impressed with the apartments - very clean and in a very good location. Out the back gate and you're almost at the beach. We did try breakfast there on the first morning and didn't try it again. Our one complaint was the noise of the music - blasting all day at the pool. Not very conducive to relaxing. We used the beach though so it was only on our way in and out we heard it. Security at Sol Lunamar is very good. The entrance has someone on it all the time and the back entrance is watched by camera. It felt very safe. You use your room key to get out, so as long as people remember to shut this gate after them it is all well secured. Non residents can't wander in and out. On the last day we weren't leaving until 5.00 pm and we were able to leave our cases in a locked room that was watched by security camera from the front desk.
I agree with silvertyne - a microwave would have been handy - apart from that there is everything else you need. Our room was very close to reception and we weren't disturbed any night when we were there (and I sleep very lightly). If we were looking for self catering again I would use Sol Lunamar. |

| Hi, Just wondering about the sunbed situaltion there, are there plenty & do they have the backrests so you can sit up please.
Also, I know there are only sofa beds, but are these ok to sleep on for a week.
Thank you for any replies.

Deb. There seemed to be enough adjustable sunbeds and they looked in good nick, but I don't use them, I prefer the beach to the pool. Or sitting outside a sunny bar! Mind, it was quiet when I went so it might be more difficult to get one in the summer. Yes, the sofa beds were okay, just not as comfy as a bed. |
