Any links to cut price holidays?
Must be at least four star. Half Board. Not a 'family' hotel. No plastic monsters. Not in a rowdy area. Sunshine required.
As this is an 'extra' fortnight holiday, I don't want to throw my wallet at it. Dates not important although I have to be here for a week either side of the Jubilee.
I know I can count on you lot for guidance.

Thanks, Delboy. Not sure it will get as much attention there - perhaps you could leave a link on here (for me as much as anyone!).

Nice to have but not essential: Balcony/terrace big enough to sit out. Sultry maids.

PS: I may have to disappear for a day or two because of more In Law illness.
Well, it's supposed to be an economy extra holiday. That's why I asked the question thinking that there may be sources of which I'm ignorant. There are endless holidays available around £1,000 for two persons. I was hoping to save a couple of hundred but don't know where to look. Just thought there might be some bargains around that fit the bill.
OK will take a look around, I did find a lovely 4 star plus but as you said somewhere nice and warm at 4 star plus is coming up still pricey but I dont gave in.
SWMBO found a newly refurbished haunt in Playa Blanca at silly money today - about £760 for both of us for 2 weeks HB including everything. Unfortunately the dates are wrong.
The Diamond Jubilee 'Big Lunch' is on 3rd June.
It wasn't that I was asking for a specific hotel or holiday in my question - more for links to sites which might have a selection of 'secret' bargains.
Ohhhhhhhh right to be honest Ive struggled the last couple of years getting cheap deals, Graham found us a really cheap 4 night break but it was on the Spanish mainland and not great weather. Ive used jet2 holidays for the last couple of years for a package deal and they always have a £100 off discount code but I couldnt find one today, maybe Graham will let us know, icelolly.com is also good BUT you have to watch which company you use through them as OLA holidays seem to come up alot and dont have a very good reputation.
We have friends who live in Playa Blanca (we don't like to impose and stay with them) so we've been a number of times. Also ferried across from Fuerteventura a few times.
It was there that a young Dutch woman turned up on the villa doorstep asking for help. I thought she'd been a victim of domestic abuse by the wounds on her face but her husband had just driven their car off a mountain. He was pretty well smashed up and their two year old son was badly traumatised. Spent a lot of that holiday back and forth to Arrecife Hospital at vast expense.
They appeared to be a very rich family and he was going to send us diamonds as thanks for our help. Turned out he was a Drug Dealer from Amsterdam.
We will still look for you if you gave us an idea off where you would like to stay, areas etc, I love searching and Mark normally finds good stuff

Yeah I don't mind having a look.
But surely the Son Matias around the 1st October will be a good deal?

The Drug Dealer incident confirmed my opinion that Travel Insurance is a must. His flight home was over £15,000 - lord knows what the treatment costs were. When he got back to Amsterdam they discovered five more broken bones that had been overlooked in Arrecife.
They still send me a Christmas Card but the diamonds haven't turned up yet.

Diamonds are definately the way to go. Rm opted for a mood ring so he could gauge my hormonal swings. When I'm in a good mood it's green, when I'm in a bad mood, it leaves a big red mark on his forehead.
Diamonds would have been safer.

Best quote of the day so far Roamer, rep for that.
