I've never belonged to a frindly forum before.

Off to Puerto Pollensa Wed 5th October for two weeks.
Hoping to use my new camcorder on the wildlife (animals and birds - not outside the bars).
More of a rest this time (Went to Puerto de Mogan a couple of months ago).

Will have a good read of the forum to pick up some tips, thanks.

Glad you got on the forum Ddolfelin, what did you do to manage it as you said you were having problems. Also can you tell us how you found us please as I love to know how new members came to join us.
Sounds like you could be one for our photography section as well we love lots of photos.

I found the forum by Googling 'Mallorca Forum'.

I come out in lumps seeing anything to do with electrickery.

In the scale that I model, (often 2mm = 12 inches), false teeth would be a challenge.

The funerals are because most modellers do weddings and it has become a cliché.

My father was a model railway ENTHUSIAST!!!! And we all suffered. . . . .. He would spend endless hours in the attic (where his layout) was watching these things going round and round (and causing interference with the telly downstairs. He also used to make his own coaches (I can hear you getting excited now ) and the house used to smell of those mini, mini tins of airfix type paint. . . .

When I was 8 I got a Tiny Tears doll for xmas . . . I had been asking for her since I was 5, but in those days, you had to wait . ..
Xmas morning - I was thrilled beyond belief! But my dad had been up painting his coaches Black and Orange - (NO DB - he was not a Wolves Supporter!) they were the colours of CIE of the time - the national carrier. He left his tins unattended and my baby brother, who was about 2 came running into the room and 'presented' her to me . . . .
He had spilt orange and black paint all over her romper suit(stink) and he had managed to poke out one of her eyes with a paint brush!!!!
TRAUMATIC - never really got over it!

What a sad story.

Very excited about your Dad making his own coaches - takes some doing.
If and when the time comes that his train sets are no longer required, I can probably help with disposal.

Apart from that I have no real interest in watching trains go around, just the scenery within which they run around.

Yes - we had manys a 'day out' - a trip to the local train station, where we would hop from leg to leg with boredom, while he took down all the numbers of the engines . . . .

Boys and there toys we all need them lol. My wife went off it when she came in from work one day only to see my 20foot antenna on the side of the house on top of a 12 foot pole hehehe. There are lots of different designs but she aint having none of it, ohhhhhhh well one day when she gets in from work she might have another surprise lol
