Been playing around after work tonight, Ive got this fascination with night shots as they are a bit of a challenge. I was a bit disappointed with the moon shots as it looks more like the sun, I was hoping to see the shapes/patterns on the moons surface but I just couldn't get it right, I may need to use the flash so another thing to figure out

Done this one in the starry setting with the shutter running at 60seconds



This one had the shutter set for 30 seconds



And this one the shutter was set at 15 seconds



This is a bit art the council bought many years ago and the people of South Tyneside nicknamed them the weabbles hehehe

Don't think the flash would make any difference Daryn with the subject millions of miles away-unless that is it is MEGA-flash.Did you buy it in the Jessops sale?

Just thought if the flash was on it might take away the blurr of the light a bit, the moon was amazing over the sea last night and looked really close you could see all the patterns and I thought I would be able to capture it, what a pitty but it still gaves a nice effect. Ill get it sussed out one night.

Some great shots there mate. However, capturing low light from something close, is a lot different to capturing low light from something like the moon.
