Well we got up to a bit of a cloudy day to start with, so we decided to have breakfast at Lady Tavern, only 2 euro's 95 for a small, but very filling breakfast, & San had two sausages with an egg on toast. Complete with two orange juices the bill was less than 9 euro's, great value for money IMO. We gave the beach a miss & decided to go for a walk around. We went to the Daiquiri Palace on the Paseo to have our iced cocktails, & very nice they are to. They cost 3, 4 or 5 euro's, see them in the top of the 1st photo, depending on the size that you want. we had 5 euro's ones. San got a "free" vest, after we had filled in a card, that they gave you to get stamped every time that you purchased a cocktail.
We then moved on to Alex's Lounge Bar for a chill out, but I got rather hot under the collar, as I didn't realise what was going on
BEHIND me honest!! Also I had something sticking out of my head, possibly San had stabbed me before the photo was taken!!
Then it was her turn to get the
BABE treatment!!
This was turning into a bit of a Pub Crawl, so we made our way up the strip, well I was dragged away from Alex's, I don't know why?? we ended up at The Tartan Arms up The Strip, where we met a load of lads fae Dundee, as they say in Scotland!! San then started to embarass me, by saying that her brother-in-law came from Dundee. "What is his name," one of them asked. "Brian Brown," she replied, then added, "you probably know his Dad, who is a bit
OLDER than Brian." Well they all fell about laughing, with San adding, to make it worse, "you know what I mean!!" I was cringing by this point!!
We then moved into Palma Nova & went to the Scotsman Bar under Ruby Tuesday's. We had a plate of chips to soak up the beer!!
From there we moved on to Canto's cafe bar, possibly the October meet up venue, for a drink & some fabulous tapas. It came to about 16 euro's for the drinks & the tapas, which I must say was excellent & very tasty, as it got devoured very quickly!! To the top left hand side of the photo of San the Sol Mirlos/Tordos can be seen, where I believe Mr. & Mrs. Yozef & WS are staying. So as I said in another post, not far to go back to your hotel, if Canto's is the meet up venue.
After a quick couple of games of pool, we went back to the Apartment. That night we went back to Los Curries for another fabulous Indian meal. I cannot rate this Restaurant highly enough, run by front of house Rita, with her husband doing the cooking. Deb's & Don went twice with us, so you can see we go a lot of times!! After our meal, we went to the Fountain Bar, to see the drag act Sassy Striker, I believe it is a man dressed up as a woman!! Well he/she was very funny, with a bit of a risque vibe, ie swearing & double entendres etc. Sorry about the quality of the photo's, but hopefully they will fall into place with the review.
Sassy wanted a man to go on stage with her/him, she/he chose a guy near the stage, but he wouldn't go up!! Then Sassy said, " He was a bit small anyway, I want somebody bigger & I know just the man." At that point she/he dragged me up on stage & preceded to do an act, which felt was the longest 2 minutes of my life, but very strangely rather enjoyable!! Again sorry about the quality of the photo's.
A very good night in all, & a great laugh. We then went to the Plaza Cafe for a nightcap, before going back to our Apartment.
Sorry I will have to end Part 4 & I promise you Part 5 is the last part honest.
