| Just a couple of snaps Wirral, taken with my Kodak M575 camera, to show you that the zoom is plenty on just such a simple camera. View from Selsey taken towards Portsmouth... you can barely see it in the distance.  Use the zoom, steady the camera (I used the top of a fence post), and you can clearly see Portsmouth's newest landmark, The Spinneker.  |

| Following bad storms a couple of years ago WS, the sea walls have undergone fortification by means of strategically placed huge rocks. It's something to do with the way Selsey sticks out into the sea, it creates cross currents that wash into each other creating huge waves if the conditions are right (wrong conditions if you are on the shore lol)
The beaches a couple of miles up the coast (East & West Wittering) remain sandy and gently shelving. |

| In the first pic, you might just make out the extreme edge of the Isle of Wight on the left hand side, that's the Cowes side, the other (Sandown) side can be seen more clearly.  View from the upstairs restaurant bar, looking out to sea towards the IOW  There was some nut out and up in one of those microlite things on Sunday afternoon, not for me lol   |
