Thank you for such a warm welcome to the Forum !
I look forward to getting to know you all and picking your brains about Majorca and many other things.

I came across this Forum via a link on TA and already have found a brilliant review about a hotel that I'm going to in a few weeks time. The Son Matias in Palma Nova....I've visited Mallorca/Majorca numerous times ....and LOVE it...but this will be a girls only trip, or as my DH calls it a Where's Wally trip . We have never visited the PN area, but looking forward to discovering what its like and hopefully enjoying it enough to want to return !

I enjoy good food and trying local dishes etc (sorry the british pub and food dont do it for me on my hols but I know many people love it sorry) I love shopping and enjoy finding wee shops with lots of various stuff.....a pleasant change from the chain stores....I love being near the sea....I love the sunshine ......and I love spending time with my family....So far PN looks as if it will tick all the boxes.

I may well be back on here very soon...with lots and lots of questions...YOu have been warned

Meanwhile if anyone wants to give me some hints/tips re places to go (for shops, tapas, cocktails) etc or knows of that special wee restaurant/bar that has the best views/cocktails/music anything at all I'm open to all suggestions and hints.

For instance many years ago prior to our first visit to Puerto Pollenca...a friend told us to walk the pine walk and have a drink at the I'lla D'or...then mentioned Tots, Tango and Trio for eats...so just ideas like that will be great for Palma Nova too.

You are in the right place for info on Son Matias, many of us have stayed there, but the person with up to date knowledge will be Yosef. I haven't stayed there for a few years now, but Yosef was there earlier this year, he will be along shortly no doubt to help you.

Hi there and you will be made to feel very welcome on here, Im sure over the next few days you will get lots
of replies to your questions. PN is a fantastic place and just following the long walk up the coast either way and
you will come across lots of little nicnac shops. Let us know what sort of bars you like etc. Music, shows karaoke
etc.
