| We are thinking of coming to the meet up. We would probably be looking to go half board. Needs to be cheap as its not long after CSV. Any recommendations. |

| That is fantastic news Roamer, you are both more than welcome. I would say that Sol Guadalupe or Sol Mirlos/Tordos are up there as favourites. Daryn, Mark, Yozef & WS would be your experts for these places. _________________ Mick

| That's great news Roamer. The trouble with your ask, is that 'cheap' and 'recommended' don't often go into the same sentence lol
There's not much to choose between the Guadalupe and Mirlos/Tordos, the M/T is more all inclusive although it does do HB. M/T is nearer to the meet up venue. It might be easier if you have a browse and find a hotel that seems to tick your boxes, and then ask about that particular hotel, one of us will have some info on it. I'd start on the Thomson site, hotels only, and then click on the 'add a flight' option, to start getting an idea of package prices, so that you can compare with a DIY package. Easyjet have just announced a sale, so that's another good place to start. |

| Managed to find Mirlos/Tordos for £825 on lowcostholidays.com. Nothing found on Thomsons and a similar price on easy jet. Not sure if a 10 percent discount is added when booking on lowcost. Does anyone have experience of lowccost as I have never heard of them.

| I have used Lowcostholidays several times, along with Alpharooms to book the whole thing , also Easyjet holidays. Or, book your flights direct with any airline then book just the room with any of the above. I haven't booked a package holiday for years. |

| Roamer. I have booked Sol Mirlos (a cut above Don Pedro where you are staying at CsV-is that right?) for 2010/2011 meet-ups through TravelRepublic.1st time I booked HB but for this year for just a few £s extra it made sense to book AI.If you book with booking.com you don't have to pay anything upfront and can cancel up to 48hrs before scheduled arrival date with no charge. However TravelRepublic prices are cheaper but you have to pay upfront. As you fly from Bham or Nottingham you are not quite so lucky with the choice of no frills airlines as I am from Manchester and Liverpool.
You should still get really keen prices for hotel and flights for 1st week in Oct.I did but I booked months ago.Be flexible over your travel dates always allowing for the date of the main do on the Sunday.Generally speaking flights are dearer on Fridays and Saturdays.Tuesdays,Wednesdays and Thursdays are good.I think Monarch(ZB) fly from BHX and EZY from EMA to PMI.
Let me know if you want me to do any ghost bookings of flights/transfers/accommodation for you. |

| Can you gave us the dates and how long you want to stay and which airport you want to fly from and Im sure we will all have a go at it for you. I love the Gaudalupe but there is alot more cheaper hotels , the problem is when you say cheap I woulodnt know what standards you are after. If you are only going for 3 or 4 days as we are we dont mind paying that bit extra but for a week its gonna bump up the price so maybe a cheaper place ,somewhere to put your clothes get your head down and have something to eat. We always go half board but are going B&B so we can have a wander around different places with it only being a 3 nighter. _________________ |

| We are looking to depart from 28/09/11 any time up to 01/10/11 for 7 nights. On reflection we feel AI may be our best option. Ideally East midlands or Birmingham Airport but Luton would be okay too. I was forgetting its out of peak time so the accomodation doesn't need to be as budget as I had first thought. We like the look of both Gaudalupe and Sol Mirlos/t. They are both within an affordable budget. Reviews seem good and we might be up for some more lively action after our stay at CSV.
It is the Don Pedro were we are staying WS. |

| Thanks for help everyone. We are now booked!!! Two bookings I had saved were no longer available when I went back so we just went for it. We are now booked from 30/09/11 for a week at the Sol Mirlos AI. The difference between AI and half board made AI seem more logical. We booked with alpharooms in the end and managed to get flights (decent times) hotel and transfers for just under £800 which seems very reasonable. Ryanair Though Waits for all the gasps of horror. I thought we could manage to go a couple of hours without the basis luxuries like a toilet and water. Saw you message after booking Deb. |

I'm more worried about you lot. He is currently in the fetal position after discovering that you have to check in for our flights on line and pay a fee for the priviledge. He is calling ryanair all sorts of choice names. |
