As we stayed at the Mansion House in Scarborough, I suppose that I had better post photo's of the resort/town, the photo's were taken over the 3 days that we were there. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scarborough,_North_Yorkshire The information board showing both the South Bay & North Bay of the town.
We decided to set off for a walk around the 2 Bays.
The clock tower on the Esplanade adjacent to the putting green.
The putting green where as a lad I used to play with my Dad on a couple of holidays here.
The view of the South Bay from the putting green.
The Italian Gardens which are just below our hotel, don't really do them justice until late spring early summer when the flowers come out.
The Spa complex outside theatre where concerts are held during the summer months.
A short video from the beach giving a panoramic view of Scarborough in front of the Spa complex.
The Grand Hotel, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Hotel_(Scarborough) very imposing on the South Cliff.
The Tramways, here is a bit more information about them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scarborough_funiculars
A usual sight on a seaside resort's beach in Britain, the donkeys.
A very well kept town with some lovely gardens.
The harbour, seen from different angles.
The lighthouse & anti aircraft gun.
There are plenty of boat trips that can be taken for all types of boats.
The small funfair where you go around from the South to North Bays.
Alot of bikers were here on the Sunday.
I have never seen so many seagulls before in the rocks nesting.
This video shows the noise they make going out to sea then back again to the rocks.
The view of the North Bay from the Castle between the Bays.
The entrance & buildings around the Castle, we didn't go in as we were on the way home soon.
The indoor market of the town, which looked like it has just been refurbished.
Becky inside the hall, not too many stores as of yet.
On the North Bay, there had been a prestige car show, by the look of things.
There was a very fabulous sculpture of a guy called Freddie Gilroy.
The story of this gentleman, was very heartwarming & sad, & brought a lump to our throats TBH.
Becky walking towards a fantastic set of apartments at the end of North Bay.
Just along the road from these apartments is Peasholm Park, http://www.peasholmpark.com/ where you can see model size naval battles.
This facade is the Scarborough BC Refuse Depot would you believe.
The very imposing road bridge connecting Scarborough.
The fabulous footbridge from the Grand Hotel towards the Esplanade.
We found Scarborough a great place to stay, explore & use as a bolt hole, to visit the rest of North Yorkshire. 2 more reviews to follow on Robin's Hood Bay & Whitby.

Great photos mate covered the place well, me and Debbie have had a night there before and went to Peasholm Park, they used to have cable cars not sure if they are still there and at the end of the harbour was a seal sanctuary.
I stayed there as a child as well, they used to have a big open door pool again not sure if that is there
