Not sure if this is in the correct section because its not really a review just a bunch of photos I took last week in Kerry

This is Carrantouhill, Ireland's largest peak,. The photo was taken from my dad's front garden.

This guy was wandering around the back garden one evening. If I was quick enough, I could have had it for dinner

This is Rossbeigh Beach, near the village of Glenbeigh, on the Ring of Kerry

I drove up the side of the mountain to get a photo of the beach from "on high". I decided to take a little walk and the next thing I knew, I was at the bottom. If you look closely, you'll see my van parked near the top.

We drove out the road a little bit and got these photos. The islands you can see in the distance are called the Blasket Islands

This is Dingle Bay

This is Killorglin, the town where my dad's house is. It is home to the famous "Puck Fair". The photos below explain a litle more about it

The old railway bridge. The line closed in 1960.

The river "Laune" (pronounced Loane) that flows through Killorglin.

"Puck Fair" is held every August. It attracts 250000 visitors from all over the world. The "puck" is a wild goat captured each year off the Kerry mountains. He will be the "king" of the fair. The photos below explain a little more

Spectacular scenery 4th, really liked them. (Views of the bay) And a good insight into a tradition i'd never heard of. Rep from me.

When you say you found yourself at the bottom, do you mean you fell over?

I nearly fell over when I climbed back up. Jeez, with a walk like that, there definitely wouldn't be any need for a gym! It took me half hour to get from where I took the photo back to the van. The missus wasn't very impressed, her sitting up there all alone violin violin biggrin

Stunning resort but waaayyy too expensive especially for a family of 5 ( well 4 at the time). I know the main resorts tend to be cheaper but I don't like built up areas. ( I only go into airports cos they wont let me board a plane anywhere else!). My ambition is ( when I win the lottery) is to buy a villa overlooking Port de Soller. I thought that place was spectacular with 2 drawbacks. A. The amount of litter on the streets was awful and B, Whoever granted permission for Burger King to open up there should be shot.

That should be easy 4th . . . I mean . . . it's only 6 numbers , . . . lol!

I don't like built up areas either . . . but some nice accommodation with a fab view - (just can't decide whether to go for waterfront, so I can hear the waves . . . or up on the hill for the coastal views and the cicadas and birds of prey . . .

You see . . . I've it spent already . . . lol!

I hereby promise, should I ever win the lottery, I will allow the MF meet up to take place in my luxurious very expensive villa every October ( Dirty boots to be left outside the tradesman's entrance rear door. Applications for entry will be vetted on the day!)
