Ive been reading this today, they have made several arrests including one on the Majorcan Island in palma.

Terrible troubled world we live in ATM

How will the SAS keep the beaches safe? I can't see any other countries having armed non native forces patrolling their territory.

The troubles is, we can't let these ar$ehole$ win. We all have to be very alert, even though we want to relax on holiday.

Makes a strong argument for a European police force or maybe give Interpol the ability to deploy wherever and whenever they want.

I also think that more of a presence of armed police/soldiers should be deployed in key areas, Magaluf, Palma Nova, Alcudia etc in Mallorca, Benidorm, Marbella mainland Spain etc etc.

I know Spanish police carry guns as a matter of course, but have to say that there was a much more visible presence of cops on the beat in Tenerife than you would observe in Majorca.
