We've just returned from 10 days at this hotel with my other half and two kids age 11 & 12.
I'm going to be totally honest in this review, we enjoyed our stay and the holiday itself. This is a basic 3 star hotel, the location is it's best selling point. The views from the rear of the hotel are amazing, they overlook the sea and many of the flashy boats! There is a steep hill if you are walking down into palma nova, it's not unbearable though and the majority of people would manage it fine.

We had a one bedroom apartment which they say could sleep five adults, I'm not sure there would be enough wardrobe space for five adults though but we managed fine with the two kids. The rooms themselves could have done with some updating if I'm being totally honest, there is a small kitchenette with fridge, dishes, sink and kettle. It was just things like fridge was a little bit rusty on the front, the tiles were chipped etc. Nothing major and didn't detract from our holiday as we spent very little time in the room during the day. The view from our balcony was stunning, particularly at night. The bedroom had two twin beds, wardrobe, dressing table with light above and two sockets. The lounge/kitchenette had three sofa's which convert into beds once you take the cushions off the back. Got to say we slept on these a couple of nights and have to admit they weren't very comfy. The bathroom was compact, but the shower over the bath was great, very powerful and ideal after a long day at the pool. The maid service was most days, but I think they have two days per week where only the towels are changed. The rest of the time beds were re-made and clean bedding put out, they also empty the bin. I know they don't clean the kitchen area at all but as we were all inclusive we barely used it anyhow.
At times I felt the cleaning staff could have done a better job - but mainly things like not fully mopping the floors etc, in general it was sufficient.

The all inclusive buffet I found to be fine. It wasn't gourmet food, but most nights I found something I enjoyed. Lots of fresh salads, fresh fish and always a good variety. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss - but then catering for large groups at breakfast in most hotels is difficult. Apparently, they do serve snacks in the restaurant in between meals, this is more like fresh bread, salad, cold meat and some burgers/chicken nuggets/chips etc. We only found this out late during the week though and to be honest were pretty full from the other meals.

The staff we found to be more than helpful, some spoke better english than others but we always got by. The pool bar served drinks and with all inclusive they were all local drinks and spirits. The measures were generous but they only allowed two alcoholic drinks to be served per person at any given time. Toward the end of our stay there were some queues but nothing major and these were quickly reduced by the staff.

Entertainment wise - Sara and the kids club lady work really hard to provide good entertainment during the day. They are limited with the resources they have but to be fair they did try and get everyone involved. The younger kids loved the panda club and they also have an evening timetable for the little ones. The professional entertainment during the night isn't great to be honest, a little bit cheesy but we weren't too worried about this. They are now doing the evening entertainment outside on the bar terrace which is better as you benefit from the breeze and amazing view.

The only gripe I had was that they do take large same sex group bookings. We had a couple of stag groups, the first lot were a little rowdy but nothing too bad. The second group were awful, loud, swearing and generally not something I'd expect in a family hotel. The security did eventually come out and hung about for a while which seemed to quieten them down somewhat. Even during the day though their conversations were loud and not for the ears of kids, surprisingly this was a group of older men so not what I'd expect from this age group.

This is probably the reason I wouldn't return to this hotel, I'd try further into Palma Nova, this property really is on the border of magaluf and Palma Nova, but I'd say more magaluf. However, considering the location we didn't hear any street or bar noise once you were inside the hotel. If you've booked to go here, I'd still say you'll have a great time but I trawl reviews myself and felt it only fair to be honest.

WB.Thanks for posting.This is a popular hotel and your review is valuable.Don't apologise for being honest.Reviews that aren't honest are useless.I don't think this place is for me.Chips/chicken nuggets/burgers-no thanks.And I like my room cleaned every day even if lick n'spit.Also I would need oxygen to get up the hill.

hi all - did get some pics, will be trying to upload soon. Graham - it wasn't busy when we arrived but did get steadily busier. The majority of guests were family, although toward the end it did start filling up with same sex groups. Most of them weren't large - and to be fair they did mostly congregate and sunbathe etc near the larger pool.

I did forget to mention that we had an amusing display one night. To set the scene, the kids had gone to bed early so my partner and I were in the lounge watching tv (sorry I know that is a bad admission when on holiday but there you go)! Anyhow my other half went out onto the balcony, it must have been gone midnight, he called me out and when we looked down there was a very drunk couple on the rocky beach below the balcony. To put it nicely, they were getting up to naughties on the beach, not exactly quietly either. When we looked down, we spotted other guests on their balconies all looking down as well!! The funny thing was that as the guy was so drunk he was obviously having some problems and wasn't exactly on full form if you know what I mean. Give this poor girl her due she was trying everything to help him....bearing in mind this was the rocky part of the beach and she was clearly experiencing some discomfort as all we could hear apart from the obvious was owww...!! Seems rocks are not the most luxurious surface to enjoy yourself. It didn't take long for them to give up...and as they admitted defeat and walked away....the other couples gave them a wonderful round of applause!

It was definitely the talk of the pool the next day!!

How embarassing for them when sobering up, but they were more than likely oblivious to it.
