Looks like the government are bringing in the tourist tax.

Now it is planned to increase revenue and won't affect voters so, they probably think its a win win.

However bearing in mind Mallorca is more expensive then the mainland, all this is going to do in my opinion is get travellers to consider going elsewhere.

They just dont get it, the Island is an all year round destination (cycling/walking/golf etc in winter), when was the last time you saw an advert for the Islands? I see ads for other places, never Mallorca.

They just dont seem to know what they have got do they, not a clue although the airlines do as the flight prices are not the cheap deals we used to get.

me and Debbie were discussing next years holidays and do you know what, I just cannot think of anywhere I want to go. Well their is places but not good for all of us. I would like the Galapagos Islands and nature places like that for a change but no good for the girls.

Debbie fancies Dubai or New York for the shops, Got no chance lol.

Also Florida for the theme parks, Kate not happy as she has just turned 18 and wont be able to party hahahaha.

Touring Switzerland, Germany would be nice but no they are not having sitting in a car hahaha. We are a lost cause.

I doubt that I'll ever go to Dubai, or anywhere with arabs in it again. Have done the pyramids in Egypt and that's my lot with them.

Yeah the Pyramids was something I'd always wanted to do though, we got a good deal one January to Sharm el Shake so was a good opportunity.
Also had a good day out wandering around Old Sharm town, unchanged over centuries, felt just like we'd walked onto a film set about some Bible story lol, the butcher was even cutting chickens heads off on a table in the street outside his shop

I would love to see the pyramids, love history and you dont get much better than that but I just wouldnt take a chance going there now. Too dangerous now.
