Off to Sol Mirlos/Tordos on Monday for a week, picking up a car for the duration at the airport. Looking for suggestions for excursions please.
Had planned catching the end of the Oktoberfest in Santa Ponsa but will be finished by the time we get there
Will probably have a half-day towards SP & resorts to the west of PalmNova (SP, Paguera, Port d'Andratx?)? Pirates night worth a visit? Think my 13yr old would enjoy that. Probably a day in Palma shopping for the missus & Cathedral, ain't been for a few years. Soller? Drive to Palma train station, return train to Soller, have a few hours in Soller?
Looking for advice on the ones above i.e. worth doing or not & some suggestions for a few more trips please.
Thanks in advance, HH.

All your suggestions are well worth it HH. If the weather is good, what about a Boat Trip to Palma, something a bit different & might be worth a shout, if you haven't done it before HH? Hope this helps mate.

I can't really add to your list HH, except the possibility of a vineyard tour (Jose Ferrer) in the centre of the Island, near Binnissalem.
With a car, following your nose is a good day trip

Appreciate the suggestions chaps, Thank You.
Bit spooky actually, after Mick suggested a boat trip I found a site (click-mallorca.com) with a list of about 20 excursions & the only one I investigated was Valdemossa. Thinking of cancelling postponing the Soller train & making it a car trip to Valdemossa/Soller/Port Soller maybe do the train if we've time later in the week?
Only other place I thought of was Inca, we've passed it lots of times, possibly combine that with the vineyard tour near Binnissalem?
Don't really want to be driving a lot as I'm on holiday but since I'm Scottish I have to use up the pre-paid tank of fuel before I return it
Thanks again, HH.

half-day towards SP & resorts to the west of PalmNova (SP, Paguera, Port d'Andratx?)? Had a wee drive around one day, impressed by Paguera/Peguera as it was Market day (Tue) when we visited & was pretty busy. Santa Ponca has gone downhill since the last time I visited many years ago, Andratx not very impressive either.
Pirates night worth a visit? Think my 13yr old would enjoy that. Didn't go Brochure we had said there was 1 show a week where you got only the show, not dinner/drinks included but the ticket offices we tried said that was an option they tried earlier in the year but only a food/drinks inc ticket now. €37 cheapest seat so we declined.
Probably a day in Palma shopping for the missus & Cathedral, ain't been for a few years. Parking in Palma worse than ever so only had a wander round the cathedral then a drive past the marina along the coast back to PN. 2 hour maximum parking on most streets in Palma. Should have got the bus but felt obliged to use my hire car
Soller? Drive to Palma train station, return train to Soller, have a few hours in Soller? Did the drive to Valdemossa (very quaint & quiet but lots of tourists, if that makes sense ) then on to Soller & Puerto Soller. Soller had a drive around, more impressed by Puerto Soller for the views/promenade/trams
Thanks again for the suggestions, HH.
