400 euro fine for “balconing” By Humphrey Carter
Palma City Council yesterday became the first council in the Balearics to actively try and stop tourists from jumping from balconies.
Palma.—The Summer season came to a tragic end with a spate of holiday makers either dying or ending up in hospital in critical conditions as a result of balcony related incidents and Palma City Council yesterday announced that anyone caught jumping from balconies into swimming pools or attempting any other stunts without killing themselves, will be fined between 300 and 400 euros

| I reckon it may have been lost in translation!!
Yep cos they are all p*ssed up they think they are invincable (ironically when they are their most vulnrable). I mentioned before that Leapy Lee is calling for the height of balcolnies to be increased (in line with the rest of europe??). May make a difference.
I remember as a kid watching some older lads jumping from a balcony to the pool in Arenal back in 82, so nowt changes
