Colleague was away in Santa Ponsa over the weekend & recommended taking/using English Pounds for major(ish) purchases e.g. perfume, cigarettes while in resort. Said she got a much better final price than her friends who used Euros? Anybody any thoughts?

Well i've topped up my pre paid card recently and got €1.159 and €1.1525, but in Tesco's today I only got €1.1125 for cash Sad

€100 cost me £89 odd, so a Euro is near enough worth 90p at the moment. No
