We decided to spend a night here before flying to Tenerife as leaving the car here for a week worked out around the same as using a car park.
We checked in and paid up. Asked for a wake up call for 4.15am and booked a taxi for 5.00am.
We brought a couple of rounds in the bar on arrival. As is normal the prices were really high. A pint and a Baileys costing £9.20. That must have been an expensive Baileys because next round I went for a half a larger and the round was £5.
The room was nice. It was clean with a very comfortable king size bed. We were on the top floor. Unfortunately (Not sure if it was because it was fairly windy) there was a lot of noise seemingly coming from the rafters. This turned out to be a good thing as it meant we couldn't sleep.
Not usually considered a good thing but had we slept soundly we may well have missed our plane. The requested wake up call never came.
We asked about this on check out and were told that had no requests written down before 5.00am. Rm explained that he had watched it being written in and requested to see the diary. Sure enough it was in there. The receptionist apologised. Would have been very annoyed if we had missed our plane.
