Booked Hotel through Holiday Extras at the cost of £123 with two weeks parking. Car was parked temporary in the hotels own car park and then moved following day to a car park 3 miles away (6 miles on the clock on return)
Checked in no problems and booked reservation for evening meal and then when to separate desk to give car details and give in the car keys.
We were told shuttle bus runs every 20 mins at the cost of £3 ew pp
Room was fine
There was a flat screen TV
Bathroom facilities were modern and clean and a shower available
There are ice machines in the corridor and an icebucket is left with a rather expensive bottle of water at £3.50 if you should drink it. We brought our own orange juice with us.
we had an inner facing room which looks over a cafe below, I assume as the hotel name their courtyard
however, the courtyard is enclosed by a roof with windows above making the room fairly dark and one has know idea what the weather is doing.
No plane noise was experienced by us despite being near the runway.
Other room windows opposite
The hotel wine list with no wine under £17.95
room service food list
sandwich list
IMO the dining restaurant had no atmosphere and felt basic.
Food was expensive meat pies were £15.95 with veg plus a 10% service charge. No problems with the service just the price. Wine prices were the same as the room prices.
After, the meal we walked to the Airport departure new lifts in 10mins just to see how close we were to the airport.
After a good sleep, we went down to catch the shuttle but was told 10 mins. We decided to walk it with our cases on wheels and reach the Airport departure lifts in 8 minutes, no problem.
On our return we decided to walk back to the hotel with no problems and saved £12.
Would we use them again. Yes definity, for comfort and they are so close, we can walk it. The Hilton, a little nearer would cost around £189 for the same period.
